Collaborative and Solution-Focused Therapy
Why ART? Imagine, if you can, what it feels like to carry a terrible burden for years and then all of a sudden to let it go – years of trauma gone in a flash – during a single session with a therapist. You give the therapist a look of disbelief – but you have just experienced this amazing relief. When this happen, it may seem unbelievable; but it does happen consistently with the use of Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a combination of rapid eye movement therapy with traditional therapies.
ART has been used to treat adults and children with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, sexual abuse trauma, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, physical and mental challenges, addictions, grief and job or relationship issues. ART reprograms the brain and makes positive changes for these conditions. ART goes beyond desensitization. ART is about Positization - turning negative images and sensations into positive images and sensations. We don't neutralize, we positize!
The limits of ART are limitless.
Telemental health is the use of technology to deliver mental health care services from a distance using videoconferencing technology to meet with clients. This allowed me to be able to provide services to as many individuals and families as possible.

Welcome August, and so long July!!! The month of June was very painful for me and my family because of the death of our mother on the 22nd L. Grieving is a process and takes time and patience. I am profoundly sad. This is not big, but a huge loss to me after losing my daughter. Please, be aware that to work your grief, you need time, patience, one day at a time, cry and lots of love.
According to research, a more recent way to process your grief, encourage you to experience the loss, protest (shock, numbness, confusion, anger, guilt, physical symptoms) searching (in mind and body: restlessness, family dissonance, lowered self-esteem), despair (agony, anguish, depression, aloneness, meaninglessness), reorganization ( bursts of energy, intermittent interest, indifference, fatigue, detachment, apathy), and reinvestment (emerging new identity). As with any process in life, time is important, so don’t forget it. What do you do to take care of yourself during the time of sorrow and loss or change?
Moreover, don’t forget that you still have some Summer days of vacation to enjoy with your children and family!!! What are your plans to have fun with your children before they start school? How are you investing in your children for better mental, emotional and physical health?
As you continue enjoying Summer, take time to practice recreational activities with your children, like going to the beach, to the park, to the movies, a picnic, etc. Cherish and enjoy these precious family moments.
On another subject, this year 2019 is moving very fast!!! Finally, I am back to Guatemala and want to THANK YOU for the opportunity and privilege to collaborate with several of my clients in the improvement of their emotional lives. It’s always enjoyable for me to be part of their journey to a much better quality of lifestyle.
